These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Ebookerr’s website and ebook creation tools. By using Ebookerr, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Ebookerr is an online ebook creator that lets you write chapters (with the help of an AI Writing Assistant), choose from designer templates, and export your book as PDF, EPUB, or Word. A free tier lets you create up to 3 ebooks in your browser, with no account required. A paid subscription ($19.97/month) removes the free-tier limit.

2. Free Tier

Free-tier ebooks are stored only in your browser’s local storage. They are not backed up on our servers, and will be lost if you clear your browser data, switch browsers or devices, or use a private/incognito window. We strongly recommend exporting finished books as PDF, EPUB, or Word to keep a permanent copy.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period. See our Refund Policy for details on our 30-day money-back guarantee.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Ebookerr to create or distribute content that is illegal, infringes on others’ intellectual property or rights, or that abuses, overloads, or attempts to circumvent the AI Writing Assistant’s rate limits or security.

5. Your Content

You retain full ownership of the ebooks and content you create with Ebookerr. We do not claim any rights to your content and, since free-tier content is stored only in your browser, we generally never have access to it.

6. AI-Generated Content

The AI Writing Assistant uses third-party AI models (OpenAI or Anthropic) to generate suggestions and draft text. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, and you are responsible for reviewing and editing anything the AI produces before publishing or distributing it. Ebookerr does not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or suitability of AI-generated content for any purpose.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Ebookerr is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your locally-stored content will never be lost.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ebookerr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or content, arising from your use of the service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service for users who violate these Terms. You may stop using the service, or cancel your subscription, at any time.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Ebookerr after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
