This Privacy Policy explains how Ebookerr (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and ebook creation tools.

1. What We Collect

Ebook content

The free “Create Ebook” tool stores your books, chapters, images, and settings locally in your own browser (using browser storage) — not on our servers. We cannot see, back up, or recover this content, and it is only accessible from the browser and device where it was created. Exporting your book as PDF, EPUB, or Word happens entirely in your browser.

AI Writing Assistant

If you use the AI Writing Assistant, the text you submit (prompts, and any passage you ask to expand, shorten, or rewrite) is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) to generate a response. If you supply your own API key, requests are sent using your own account and are subject to that provider’s privacy policy. We do not store the content of your AI conversations on our servers beyond what is needed to generate the reply.

Payment and account information

When you purchase a paid subscription, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card details — Stripe handles this directly. We may receive your name, email address, and billing details from Stripe to manage your subscription and send receipts.

Contact form

If you contact us through our website, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you provide, solely to respond to your inquiry.

Cookies

We use a cookie consent banner that lets you choose which categories of cookies to allow: Necessary (always on, required for the site to function), Preferences, Statistics, and Marketing. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie icon in the corner of the site. Your consent choice itself is stored in a cookie so we can remember your preference.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide and operate the ebook creation tools and AI features you request
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To respond to support and contact requests
• To understand site usage and improve our product (only if you consent to Statistics cookies)

3. Who We Share Data With

We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate Ebookerr:

• Stripe — payment processing
• OpenAI / Anthropic — only when you actively use the AI Writing Assistant

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Retention

Ebook content lives only in your browser’s local storage and remains there until you delete it or clear your browser data — we have no copy on our servers. Contact form messages and payment records are retained as needed for support and legal/accounting purposes.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you (such as billing or contact information). To exercise these rights, email us at support@ebookerr.com.

6. Children’s Privacy

Ebookerr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
